Rangutan Records is an American hip hop label originating from Sacramento, Ca. Rangutan emerged on the Sacramento scene by independently releasing several mix tapes. The label was formed by rapper Dot Mouth, an upcoming rapper rising from the underground world of hip hop. Thru Rangutan Records, Dot Mouth has been able to push 10,000 units independently without any major backings.
ABOUT DOT MOUTH
Here's an upcoming rapper rising from the underground world of hip hop. He is the future of the real rap game today. His name is Dot Mouth. He enjoys reaching out to at-risk youth who are struggling between drug addictions, homelessness, domestic violence, and children struggling with gang afflictions. Dot Mouth is not just your ordinary rapper, "yes", he does sport his Big Chain and Diamond Bracelet but, he is much deeper than that, reminding you of the late rapper Big L, Big Daddy Kane, and Kool G Rap. He signed with an Indie label Oh Boy Records in 1990.
Dot Mouth is originally from 185Th St. Nick New York. His parents moved away when he was at the tender age of 9 yrs old, to Trenton New Jersey. Dot grew up on Walnut Avenue in the projects. But his desire for things would drive him to the block. Dot lost those closest to him, His Grandmother. Dot, and his late friend Dunnie formed a group called "Brothas in Action", they would go all around the neighborhood after school rapping their latest single " The walls will come falling down". That single got the attention of upcoming rap group PRT known as (Poor Righteous Teachers). But, the deal fell through.
Today, Dot Mouth is determined to change the way hip hop is going now by introducing the world to fresh new flava and different styles of hard core edgy hip hop. But, on a smooth tip without the frequent need of cussing. Dot Mouth has been keeping the underground world of hip hop moving to a steady beat. He markets and promotes himself along with his independent record label Rangutan Ent.; and his promotional company Black Star Ent. Dot Mouth has opened up for Ray J, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mann, also he was on tour with baby bash, and Jeremih. Dot Mouth song is now being played on Kazi fm and 102.5 fm.
Currently, Dot Mouth has a Hot single with Gucci man called "Ruff N' Ready". That is blazing on the Internet, Streets and clubs all over the cities. Dot Mouth is also featured on one of the hottest mix tapes out now by the DJ legend Ron G. Known as "The Amazing Part 2 ". Dot Mouth also has an upcoming single featuring the "Game". Which is another Street Banga!
Dot Mouth's album entitled "Sex, Money, Murder", will be a truly classic album that anyone can enjoy involving the true meaning of hip hop in today's society.
